Best Google Play Editions of LG G Pad 8.3 & Sony Z Ultra hit the Play Store -Androidme2018

[Androidme2018]- If you love Google Play Editions, then check out this news: the Sony Z Ultra and LG G Pad 8.3 have now been re-released as Google Play editions, available on American soil in the Google Play Store. Coming with the latest version of Android like Google’s Nexus devices, the G Pad 8.3 can be bought for $349 dollars US, while the Z Ultra is going for $649 dollars.

What you’ll get with these two new devices is an unlocked bootloader and the newest version of the OS, Android 4.4 KitKat. What’s more, those that purchase the new devices can rest assured that they’ll be first in line for any future updates. The downside though is that any manufacturer-specific software extras and services have been removed from the devices, leaving them with pure Android. This might come as good news to some who would rather have a clean slate to play around with rather than a handset pumped full of bloatware which uses up half the memory and sucks the life out of the battery. This is also the reason why the name is different, as the Sony UI has been given the boot: it’s now simply called Sony Z Ultra, sans Xperia.

News of these two devices arriving outside of the USA has not been confirmed as of yet, but we will keep an eye out to see if they do. The Google Play Editions of the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4 were never released to many countries, aside from the US, so it looks like there’s a chance that these two new arrivals will not travel far abroad.
