[Androidme2018]- Compact smartphone lovers rejoice, there is a new powerhouse on the block. Japanese carrier NTT Docomo, the source of the Z1 f catalog specs we saw recently, has now officially announced the Sony Xperia Z1 f, aka the Honami Mini if you want to get all retro about it. This new mini is going to be the undisputed king of miniaturized power and will be a serious temptation to iPhone and Samsung mini fans. It might even lure a few big-screen fans back to something easier to handle.

The Xperia Z1 f will pack almost all the serious hardware of the flagship Z1 into a miniaturized glass and aluminum waterproof chassis. The only thing you're really missing out on is the screen, which is reportedly not the greatest, and according to The Verge, the camera performance suffered from the same issues we found in our Z1 camera test. A US price of $730 based on the non-confirmed Japanese tag of 70668 Japanese Yen has appeared and the device will be running Android 4.2.2 but there's no way yet to know if it will make it to American shores.

How happy are you that these beefy specs turned out to be true? Would you consider downsizing but not downgrading to a Z1 f?
