[Androidme2018]- I was utterly convinced that Huawei would announce the delivery of the budget Honor line to the US market at CES 2015, and perhaps even that the Ascend Mate 7, the brilliant successor to their previous US-bound device, the Ascend Mate 2, might also be on its way. And while no such announcements were made, it's clear that Huawei is coming to the US in a big way.

In the lead up to CES all indications pointed to the Honor line being announced for the US market, but as the days drew nearer the hints dried up. I might speculate that an announcement was planned but some trouble (perhaps with the FCC or US carriers) caused the announcement to be shelved. After all, why bring the Honor line to an event like CES if the devices are not heading to the US? Whatever the case, the Honor line has no official plans for a US release. For now.

The Ascend P7 and Ascend Mate 2 have performed very well for the company in the US though, so much so that it seems inevitable that the Ascend Mate 7 will be delivered to a growing audience for Huawei products in 2015. This audience is about to get a lot bigger too: with Huawei announcing a partnership with Caesar's Entertainment in Vegas to offer luxury Vegas travel packages in tandem with premium Huawei devices. The exact structure of these packages is not yet clear. With Huawei's brand awareness in the US increasing from 25% to 65% in just the last two years, North Americans can expect to be seeing a whole lot more of this powerhouse.
Would you buy a Huawei device? Are you more of a fan of the Ascend or Honor series?
