[Androidme2018]- As had long been rumored, Samsung has today announced the latest device in its Galaxy series, the Galaxy Alpha. Only a matter of days ago the specifications had been leaked, revealing that the Galaxy Alpha would contain a 4.7-inch AMOLED screen (1080 x 720p), 12 MP rear camera and 2.1 MP front camera, octa-core (Quad 1.8GHz + Quad 1.3GHz) processor, 2 GB of RAM and the expected fingerprint sensor and heart-rate monitor. These were bang on the money. We also learned that Samsung had used a 1,860 mAh battery in the device, something that has more than a few people worried, but it seems to be the price that is paid for the slim design, with the Alpha arriving at less than 7mm thick, making it the slimmest Galaxy design ever.

The Galaxy Alpha is set for release at the beginning of September in a variety of colors. Samsung will be showing off their Galaxy Note 4 at its Samsung Unpacked conference a few days before appearing at this years IFA conference. Hopefully both devices will be on show for us to have a look at.
