[Androidme2018]- Shortly before the official unveiling of the Sony Xperia Z1 (…or Honami if you prefer to call it that) at the IFA, the Xperia Blog has released some more high-resolution press renders of the device. There is no doubt that these are real and are official photos of Sony’s next flagship device.

The Sony Xperia Z1/Honami hasn’t been a secret for some time. We’ve seen it in teaser photos, videos and everything in between. Nevertheless, the press renders that we’ve seen are something a little bit different and shows the device in its true form.
For those who have loved the Sony Xperia products of the past will certainly love the Xperia Z1. If, however, you couldn’t get used to the simple and “boxy” design, it might be time to change your perspective just a bit. Sony really hasn’t done much here in terms of design change, as it remains true to their Omnibalance standard and incorporates rounded edges and nice angles.

The Z1, much like its predecessors, is touted as water resistant and has been prominently showcased as such in many teaser media from Sony. As with everything that is showcased as being water resistant, it is important to remember that water resistance is not the same as waterproof and precautions should still be taken in case your device does take a plunge. Reports from the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active just goes to showcase some issues we’ve been seeing.

In the press release, the actual technical specs have been announced and we can see that the Xperia Z1 will have a 5-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.
