[Androidme2018]- The Xperia Z3 Compact was announced at IFA 2014 meeting just about all of our expectations. We've already written a hands on Xperia Z3 Compact review, getting a first look at how the device performs, but now its time to see how it weighs up against the previous model, the Z1 Compact.

Design
The frame of the Z3 Compact follows a similar design philosophy to the Xperia Z3, with slightly softer edges compared to the more square-looking Z1. The Z3 Compact screen is noticeably bigger, but the device itself is a very similar size to the past iteration, if a little lighter and thinner. The new Xperia Z3 compact will also be arrive in a number of color variations. We certainly still like the look of the Z1 Compact, but the new version is undoubtedly easier on the eye.

Technical specifications
The Xperia Z3 Compact improves on the previous device in screen size, processing power, battery capacity and camera, which is now capable of recording at 4K resolution (even if it made the device heat up quite a lot in our tests). Where the Z1 Compact beats the Z3 Compact is in the pixel density, with 342 pixels-per-inch compared to new screen's 319. The Xperia Z3 Compact will also be running the latest version of Android. Below are the complete specs side-by-side.
